TRAIN MUAY THAI
WHERE BANGKOK
FIGHTERS ARE MADE.
Authentic old-school Muay Thai in a real Bangkok fight camp, hidden inside the grounds of Wat Sitaram. Two sessions a day, six days a week, open to beginners, visitors and fighters alike.
Meet the head of the camp
KRU TOP.
Head Trainer & Owner
Kru Top leads Sangmorakot today, having taken over the camp from his father, founder Jar Tui. He grew up on these mats and has spent his life in Muay Thai, as a fighter, a trainer and now as the man who keeps the camp to the standard it has always been held to.
He speaks fluent English and works closely with every fighter who comes through the doors, from first-time visitors to professionals preparing for the stadiums. On any given afternoon you will find him holding pads or watching closely from the edge of the ring. For Kru Top, the reputation of Sangmorakot is personal, and it shows in how the camp trains.
AUTHENTIC BANGKOK
MUAY THAI.
Sangmorakot, The Shining Emerald, has been shaping fighters for more than four decades, tucked away inside the grounds of Wat Sitaram in old Bangkok. Founded by Jar Tui and run today by his son Kru Top, the camp carries the discipline, respect and true art of eight limbs from one generation to the next.
This is a living fight camp. Professional Thai fighters, young students from the temple school and visitors from every corner of the world share the same worn mats, and everyone, from the first-day beginner to the seasoned pro, is welcome to train the real way.
